Atalanta Reveal Price Tag for Youth Talent Giorgio Scalvini

Giorgio Scalvini has been making the headlines for all the right reasons following his rise to the Atalanta first team last year. The 18-year-old center-back has been labelled with a price tag by the club, with top Serie A clubs on the hunt for his signature.

As per Corriere dello Sport (via TuttoJuve), La Dea evaluate the youngster to be worth atleast €30M. It is a figure that reportedly does not discourage the potential suitors in Manchester City, Juventus and Inter. While it will be difficult to lure Scalvini in the upcoming January winter transfer window, a move cannot entirely be ruled out in June at the end of the Serie A season.

Scalvini has impressed more than most with his versatility in the first and middle third, capable of functioning in various roles – from a center-back to a defensive midfielder.

He made his debut for the Atalanta first team last year in October, aged just 17. Scalvini was also called up to train with the Azzurri national team earlier this year by Italy manager Roberto Mancini for a threeday camp at Coverciano – eventually making his senior debut in June as a second-half substitute in a 5-2 loss to Germany.
