Christian Eriksen’s fateful heart condition has currently ruled him out of playing in Italy as per the country’s medical regulations as players with ICD (Implantable Cardio Defibrillator) are not allowed to feature in the league according to rules set by FIGC and Lega Serie A.

This has prompted links with his former club Ajax, as the Dutch giants were earlier reported by numerous Italian outlets to be interested to lure him back to the Amsterdam Arena.

However, Danish newspaper BT (via FCInternews), have now reported that Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars is not interested in any such move.

Eriksen is not in contention to feature for Inter this season, with a January move still very much likely in the scheme of things.

He has a contract with the Nerazzurri until June 2024 but based on mutual terms, it is possible that it will be voided at the earliest – allowing the Dane to move on a free transfer in the upcoming transfer windows.
