Juventus Enter Bosman Race for Barcelona Reject Di Maria

Paris Saint-Germain ace Angel Di Maria is bound to leave the French capital in the summer and is ‘being offered to half of Europe’, according to Catalonian outlet El Nacional. El Fideo runs out of contract in the summer and Nasser Al-Khelaifi will not prevent him from leaving on a Bosman transfer.

Paris have offered the Argentine winger to three European giants – Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona – amid links of the French giants with one of the latter’s outcast players. Although PSG have the option to extend his contract for another year, the prospect of Ousmane Dembele replacing the Copa America winner has already made its way to the club chief’s head.

In the Frenchman, Nasser Al-Khelaifi sees the direct replacement for Di Maria. However, Dembele is said to be ‘open to Barcelona stay’ and could quite possibly extend beyond the summer.

Irrespective of Dembele’s stay or exit, Barcelona do not entertain the idea of bringing in the former Real Madrid man. The Blaugrana reportedly do not see him fitting into Xavi’s plans for the future, as the coach believes in investing in the youth.

34-year-old Di Maria is represented by Jorge Mendes – the Portuguese super-agent who represents not only Cristiano Ronaldo, but also Barcelona talents Ansu Fati, Adama Traore and Francesco Trincao.

Juventus and Atletico are contenders for his signature, but recent information also puts Scudetto table toppers Milan in the fray. He has already received offers from Brazilian clubs Corinthians, Flamengo and Atletico Mineiro, but nevertheless has always maintained that he wants to finish his career in his native Rosario in Argentina.
