Kylian Mbappé’s rejection of a summer transfer to Real Madrid took the European champions by shock, acting upon which reports started linking the Spanish giants to a number of attacking alternatives – one of who has been Milan talent Rafael Leao.
The Portuguese starlet has experienced a steady growth in the quality of his performances this campaign, helping the Rossoneri storm to Scudetto victory with 12 assists and 14 goals in 42 appearances and garnering the attention of several big guns, including Real Madrid.
However, Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) have confirmed that Los Blancos do not pose a threat to Milan as stated by former legendary Rossoneri tactician Carlo Ancelotti in an exclusive phone call to technical director Paolo Maldini.
The Real Madrid manager has made it clear to his former player regarding their disinterest in Leao, affirming Milan’s plans of offering a renewed contract deal to the youngster.

The Rossoneri plan to triple Leao’s current wage, from €1.5M to €4.5M net per season, and thus extend his stay by two years until the summer of 2026. Moreover, a release clause of €150M is in the books.
