Fabio Capello: “Napoli are Masters of Their Own Destiny”

Iconic Italian coach Fabio Capello believes Napoli have what it takes to carry the momentum until the end of the season and win an unprecedented third Serie A title. Luciano Spalletti’s men are undefeated after 15 games, as they travel to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza seeking a 14th win this season.

Speaking to the microphones of Il Mattino (via FCInterNews), Capello commented on Napoli’s fantastic rise to the top.

“From my experience, I think Luciano can say to his boys: ‘This year we can only lose the championship ourselves’. It is all in the hands of Naples – they are the masters of their own destiny. If they continue to work with humility, they remain my favorite also because they have a coach who knows what he has in his hand.”

Capello also disclosed his opinion on tonight’s mouthwatering top-of-the-table clash

“It will certainly be a good game and it will be difficult for both of them. Paradoxically, it will be more important for Inter to stay in the running because it seems to me the most equipped team to undermine Naples in the Scudetto.”

Napoli will seek to avoid a fifth straight away defeat against the Nerazzurri, who have the best home record in the division against the Partenopei (W50, D17, L9). They however are 11 points ahead of Inter going into the match.
