Arsenal Snatch Kiwior from Spezia in Shock Transfer

Striking a blow to their Italian counterparts, Arsenal have successfully signed Spezia prodigy Jakub Kiwior on a five-year deal – until the summer of 2028. Milan, Inter, Juventus and Napoli were all interested, but the Gunners have beaten them to the Polish prodigy to secure their second winter signing following the acquisition of Leandro Trossard from Brighton.

A €25M offer was enough to convince Spezia to let go of their star defender, who was benched for the first time last week against Torino, perhaps with regard to the transfer market speculation surrounding him.

Spezia were expecting to lose Kiwior sooner rather than later, especially with Serie A top dogs on his trail. However, they have been left shocked by the intervention of Arsenal in the race for the 22-year-old.

Arsenal are in pole position to grab their first Premier League trophy in more than two decades. They have launched a surprise attack on the Manchester City-Liverpool hegemony and could very well drag their superior form until the end of the season.

Kiwior leaves Spezia after appearing 43 times for the club.
