Bologna beat Inter via a solitary Ricardo Orsolini wondergoal, inflicting the Nerazzurri’s seventh defeat this Serie A campaign – two more than any other top-five side. The Rossoblu managed to shut out a tepid Inter frontline, and Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri believes technician Thiago Motta deserves much credit for Bologna’s rise up the standings.

Speaking to DAZN (via FCInterNews) following the Biancocelesti’s win against Sampdoria, Sarri took time to shed light on Bologna’s season.
“I want to congratulate him and the team, I’ve seen their last games and I must say they play top-level football. I think Thiago is a coach destined to have an important career.”
Can we take a moment to talk about how Thiago Motta has transformed this Bologna squad? ?
They quietly sit in 7th place (atm immediately after the Inter match)…
And besides Napoli, they're the hottest team in Serie A in the last 6 games, tied with Roma:⁰⁰ ?

Motta took over a Bologna outfit lying in the drop zone after the start of the season. He now has the Rossoblu fighting to grab a European qualification spot, aiming for atleast the Conference League.
Lazio themselves beat the Blucerchiati 1-0 thanks to a late Luis Alberto stunner at the Stadio Olimpico. The win helped Sarri’s men climb just two points short of Inter and Milan – both stuck on 47 points apiece – as they seek to leave Roma behind in search of Champions League qualification.
