Juventus Breath Sigh of Relief After Chiesa Injury Scare

Juventus suffered a blow yesterday evening against Inter, as Federico Chiesa came off injured after just 17 minutes on the pitch in the second half. It initially looked like a serious setback for the Bianconeri, but tests have revealed that the club do not have a grave issue on their hands.

Juventus released a statement regarding the condition of the former Fiorentina forward, ruling out any major injury as such.

“The tests Federico Chiesa underwent today at the J Medical following the problem encountered yesterday evening ruled out any injuries. His condition will be evaluated day by day.” (via Calciomercato)

Cheisa came on for Matias Soule in the 66th minute, but just a quarter-hour later started limping due to discomfort. He was substituted off by Max Allegri in the 83rd for Leandro Paredes.

Juventus have now ruled out any injury scare, and the 25-year-old Italian winger is expected to star next matchday against Hellas Verona.
