Milan and Juventus have been offered Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga. The player is likely to be on the move in January, but the two Italian sides do not seem to be too interested at this stage. The Rossoneri are on the hunt for a new center-back and are facing obstacles for their primary targets.
According to Calciomercato.com, the entourage of the 22-year-old reached out to the Milan brass two weeks ago. The Rossoneri would be more open to signing him in case of a loan with option to buy. Instead, the Spurs want to monetize his sale.
Tottenham have slapped a €25M price tag on Tanganga, which is too high for both Milan and Juventus. Despite some recent physical problems in the role, the Old Lady does not plan to add a new contributor in the back.
Director Fabio Paratici reportedly tried to arrange a swap involving the defender. He would like to bring Dejan Kulusevski to London, but the Bianconeri requested to add €20M to the package. The scenario has changed for the Swedish starlet. Federico Chiesa just suffered a serious injury, so he is more likely to stay and get more opportunities to play.
Rather than for Juventus, the Tottenham defender could resurface as a target for Milan down the line, provided the terms changed. They are focusing on other objectives at the moment. Tanganga has featured in nine Premier League matches so far this season. His agents anticipate a dip in minutes once Cristian Romero returns from a physical problem.
