Napoli Explored Potential Availability of Inter Target from Sassuolo

Napoli surveyed the potential transfer of an Inter target, who is bound to join the Nerazzurri at the end of the season. According to reports from SportItalia transfer market pundit Alfredo Pedulla, the Partenopei considered targeting Scamacca as Victor Osimhen’s direct replacement, in case the Nigerian marksman is the recipient of a transfer worthy sum of money.

Club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has always maintained that Osimhen is an integral member of Luciano Spalletti’s title contending side, but any ‘pharaonic proposal’ in triple figures will be hard for the club to turn down. Manchester United have been linked to the forward, as have Arsenal.

Keeping the Nigerian’s situation in mind, the southern giants took interest in inquiring with the Neroverdi management and Scamacca’s representatives. However, the 23-year-old has only one club in mind – Inter.

Albeit interest from multitude of clubs, from both Italy and abroad, including city rivals Milan, Scamacca is reportedly stuck upon a move to the Nerazzurri. Simone Inzaghi’s outfit currently have new acquisitions Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa in their ranks, but Alexis Sanchez and Lautaro Martinez’s futures are uncertain.

Scamacca would undoubtedly add firepower to the Inter frontline and Napoli, who are set to lose club captain and legend Lorenzo Insigne, will have to look elsewhere for reinforcements.
