Napoli Midfielder Expects ‘Annoying’ Milan and Inter to Challenge Fiercely

Slovakian midfield ace Stanislav Lobotka believes Napoli’s next three matches will dictate how the Serie A season unfolds as the we enter the final weeks of the 2021/22 season. However, he thinks the other two title contenders will prove to be annoying until the end due to the way they play.

In an interview with Slovak media outlet Sport Aktuality (via MilanNews), Lobotka spoke about how anything can happen until the end of the campaign.

“Milan Skriniar and I have already talked about the last day of the championship. There are still 24 points available from eight games to be played. The situation is open and anything can happen. Juventus had a bad start to the season. Now they are trying to catch up, but the teams ahead of them are of great quality and can play great games,” he said.

Napoli enter the final phase of the fixtures with high-profile matches in hand, among which encounters against Roma and Fiorentina pose big challenges.

“The next three matches after the break will make us understand whether we could fight for the title or not. We will play against Atalanta, Fiorentina and Roma. All three are very strong.”

Nevertheless, it is the Milan duo who he believes with prove to be ‘fierce’ in their challenge.

“For me, however, the fiercest opponents are the two Milanese Inter and Milan. Both teams play annoying football, of stroke and combination. They are still trying to press and I consider them the biggest contenders in the title fight.”

The Partenopei are sandwiched between the league leaders Rossoneri and third-placed Nerazzurri, with 63 points after 30 rounds. However, Inter still possess a game in hand.
