Milan Star Likely to Return from Injury Versus Juventus

Theo Hernandez is rumored to be ready for the Juventus clash. The fullback sat out the last two matches with a thigh strain he suffered in the last game before the first international break. He resumed training fully Thursday and should be good to go for Saturday, Tuttomercatoweb reports. Although, it remains to be seen whether he will get the nod right away, or if the coaching staff will be cautious.

The Frenchman discussed his time in Milan with Rivista Undici (via Calciomercato).

“I wasn’t defending well when I first joined; I have improved but I can do even better in a lot of different things. I’m very happy here, as the people help me and love me. The team is strong and we work hard and well.”

Hernandez was instrumental in last season’s title.

“My teammates and I want to write more important pages of the history of this club. We had a good start to the season and we want to continue like this. The fans always support us and they are really an advantage for us.”

“The group is very important in my mind. We have an incredible squad with very strong players, and we are true friends. We are young but not super green, and we are growing up and maturing a lot together. That’s one of the reasons why we won the Scudetto. The coach helped us as well.”

While the fullback will be back against the Bianconeri, Junior Messias might sit out the third game in a row because of a calf problem. That would force Stefano Pioli to again come up with a makeshift solution for the right flank.
