Mkhitaryan Eager to Win First Inter Title Following Roma Exit

Having signed for Inter at the start of the season, former Roma forward Henrikh Mkhitaryan is eager to get his hands on the first trophy of his Nerazzurri career, as his team prepare to take on Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana final in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

“I hope it is the first (title) and not the last, I hope to play many other endings here. I don’t regret my choice, I’m happy with the years I lived in Rome and now with what I’m doing at Inter. When I arrived in Rome, I said that I wanted to win something and I did it, now I am ready to do the same with Inter,” said Mkhitaryan (via VoceGiallorossa)

The versatile Armenian has played a starring role under Simone Inzaghi this campaign, but surprisingly by being pushed in a deep midfield role. He is in line to make his 23rd appearance in 2022/23 when Inter meet the Rossoneri in the final tonight.

Mkhitaryan won the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2021/2022 with Roma, his only title at the Giallorossi, before moving to the Nerazzurri.
