One of the main reasons for Milan’s recent successes has been the involvement of chief scout and head of recruitment Geoffrey Moncada. The former AS Monaco analyst was hired by the Rossoneri in December 2018 and hasn’t looked back since, playing a key role in influencing transfer matters.
As per Calciomercato, the Frenchman is the next contender to receive an extension deal from the club’s end, with his existing contract set to expire at the end of the season. Moncada’s skillset is greatly valued at Casa Milan, and the upper management is keen to reward him for his commitment to Milan.
Geoffrey #Moncada’s contract expires in June 2023: #ACMilan would like to extend until 2025 the contract of the Head of Scouts, who has discovered Kalulu & Thiaw. Moncada has also received 2 bids from #Ligue1’s clubs for role of sports director. Reflections ongoing. #transfers

Coach Stefano Pioli has depended on Moncada for several first-team transfer decisions for almost four years now. The former Monaco scout is credited with the discovery of French superstar Kylian Mbappe and bringing the likes of Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu, and Malick Thiaw to the club in recent seasons.
Moncada is highly regarded by Gerry Cardinale and RedBird, as was the case with former owners Elliott Management. He has been linked with a return to his former club that served as a springboard for his career, but it is the lure of staying at one of Europe’s most prestigious clubs that will be hard to turn down.
