Three Milan youngsters, Luka Romero, Marco Pellegrino, and Yacine Adli, haven’t played much thus far. The front office is considering loaning them out in January. Stefano Pioli did the same thing last season. His request for winter reinforcements was shut down because the summer purchases hadn’t been properly valorized. For instance, Malick Thiaw began being a regular only in late November, La Gazzetta dello Sport points out.
The former Lazio starlet has always been available, but the gaffer has preferred more established players. The center-back has appeared once and is currently on the mend with a fractured heelbone.
Unlike Romero and Pellegrino, Adli has been given a few chances, and he stepped up, but then the Milan coach went back to Rade Krunic once he recovered from a thigh injury. He has played just 58 minutes in the past five games, not featuring in three of them, perhaps because of a PK he caused versus Udinese.
The Frenchman doesn’t seem bothered by a limited role and rejected the chance to depart in the past. However, his potential game-time will further shrink with Ismael Bennacer returning in the near future.

The winger would probably benefit from a temporary stint elsewhere. They are already looking for a defender, so it’s improbable they’ll ship off one of their own. Instead, they should just field the midfielder more since he looked good as a regista.
