Juventus Still Hot on Francisco Conceicao’s Heels

While working on a deal to bring Nicolas Gonzalez from Fiorentina, Juventus haven’t lost track of Porto starlet Francisco Conceicao. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the record-time Serie A giants remain firmly in the race for the 21-year-old winger despite struggling to find common ground with the Primeira Liga outfit.

Juventus manager Thiago Motta is keen to round off an eventful transfer window with two attacking signings. After luring Douglas Luiz, Khephren Thuram, Michele Di Gregorio, and Juan Cabal to the Allianz Stadium, the Turin giants are close to adding Milan defender Pierre Kalulu to their new-look squad.

On top of the impending Kalulu arrival, Juventus could soon complete their long-standing pursuit of Atalanta’s Teun Koopmeiners. The player has a personal agreement with the Bianconeri, with talks with La Dea gathering momentum over the past few days. Moreover, Gonzalez is willing to join, but Motta doesn’t want to stop there.

With Federico Chiesa destined to leave in the coming weeks, Juventus are in the market for another attacking reinforcement. Conceicao is of particular interest to Motta. The Portuguese forward has reportedly accepted Juventus’ contract proposal. What’s missing is Porto’s approval.

Per reports, Juventus look to sign Conceicao on loan with an option/obligation to buy set at around €30-35 million. However, Porto prefer an outright sale. Negotiations have hit a standstill. But with the player’s consent in the bag, Motta’s men hope to overcome this impasse soon.

The diminutive forward boasts impressive speed and would fit the new system at Juventus, considering Motta insists on direct football.
