Roma Start Negotiating to Bring Boga Back to Italy

Roma have been on the prowl for a left winger, and Jeremie Boga, who’s been on their radar for quite some time, has jumped ahead of other potential targets. They met with his agent Fali Ramadani last week, Sky informs.

The attacker would be happy to return to Italy after his time at Nice. Giallorossi director Florent Ghisolfi brought him to the Cote d’Azur last summer. He transferred from Atalanta for €17M. He didn’t have a great spell in Bergamo, while he had shown his best stuff with Sassuolo in previous years.

According to Calciomercato, Roma will have to shell out €20M, or close to it, to convince Le Gym to sell Boga. He recorded 6 goals and 6 assists in the most recent campaign. He’s under contract until 2027. La Dea is potentially owed €4.5M add-ons should he stay put and fare well. He has 21 caps and 2 goals with his national team.

The speedster’s agent also represents Federico Chiesa. He’d become a real target if Paulo Dybala departed. Instead, the Giallorossi haven’t rekindled their interest in Marc Pubill after he failed the medicals with the Orobici.

Our Take on Roma and Boga

They must add a new option on that flank, but they might have to find a suitable solution for Nicola Zalewski first. Despite his recent paltry season, he’s not somebody they can give away. The former Sassuolo and Atalanta man would be an okay signing if La Joya stayed, while they’d need more if he departed, also to placate their fanbase.
