Victor Osimhen joined Galatasaray a few days after the end of the window in Italy and the top five leagues, but another team had tried to get him earlier: Milan. The Rossoneri, which filled the void with Tammy Abraham from Roma, had inquired with Napoli, Sky informs.

Can’t fault anybody for trying to land a player of this caliber, but, the attempt was most likely short-lived and didn’t have legs. Considering how they operate on salaries, they probably asked for Napoli to cover a significant part of it, which was a non-starter, besides the reluctance to do a favor and send a star to a direct rival with favorable terms.
