According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calcioblog), he’s under contract with Los Millonarios until 2026 with an option until 2027. His deal envisages a €41M release clause. It grows to €45M in the final days of each transfer market window.
Milan are unlikely to splurge that much for Mastantuono but haven’t been deterred by the difficulties. They inquired about whether the sum could be paid in two installments, which might be viable. Moreover, the price tag would decrease a little if they let him stay with River Plate for one extra season. In that scenario, he’d come over in 2026 with two and a half campaigns under his belt.
His team and his entourage denied having already struck an agreement with Real Madrid despite the insistent buzz. The prodigy has primarily starred as an attacking midfielder or a right winger in the pros. He became the youngest player to score with Los Millonarios in February.
