Milan Focusing on Trio to Fortify Squad in Next Window

Milan are already plotting a few moves to reinforce their squad in January should their performances continue to be up-and-down. The Rossoneri are incomplete in multiple roles and have set sights on three players in particular, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

Youssouf Fofana and Tijjani Reijnders have been their only trustworthy midfielders so far. Morten Frendrup is in pole position to join them. He’s eager to transfer to a top club and has a €20M valuation. A loan with an obligation to buy could do the trick, but there’s competition.

Milan are monitoring a few wingers, especially should they cut bait on Samuel Chukwueze. Domenico Berardi has joined the list following his return from injury. He openly stated that he could seek his way out in the next window to play in the Champions League. Sassuolo don’t necessarily agree with that, but they could cave with the right offer.

The Rossoneri don’t have a proper deputy for Theo Hernandez and have shortlisted Patrick Dorgu. They’d have to splurge to convince Lecce to sell him mid-season. They have a few makeweights who could entice the Salentini. He’ll be a target in the summer too if they can’t come to terms.

Our Take on Milan, Frendrup, Berardi, and Dorgu

They’d be three sound additions, but they have rarely been too active in January under American ownerships and might have to cash in on a few players beforehand. It’d help if the first two could join with advantageous formulas. The Lecce prodigy is more likely to move aboard given his constantly increasing price tag. While he’d help them in multiple roles, he’s too expensive for backup duties.
