Adrien Rabiot Coy About His Juventus Future

Adrien Rabiot’s future at Juventus was among the main topics during the summer transfer window. Despite being heavily linked with an exit, the France international penned a short-term extension

Manchester United and several other European clubs were keen on luring Rabiot away from Serie A. But the 28-year-old surprised everyone by committing to a new contract at Juventus. Regardless of the Turin giants’ underwhelming last season, the versatile midfielder had a stellar 2022/23 campaign.

Rabiot mustered 11 goals and six 48 appearances across all competitions last term. He established himself as an indispensable starter under Massimiliano Allegri. Nothing has changed this season. He has started all eight Serie A matches, netting a goal and delivering two assists to help Juventus enter the October international break inside the top four, only four points adrift of leaders Milan.

However, there’s still a cloud of uncertainty surrounding his long-term prospects at Juventus. While Rabiot admitted he is ‘happy’ in Turin, he refused to rule out a potential departure at the end of the season.

I decided to stay at Juventus this season because I feel good, I had a great season last year,” he told Telefoot, as quoted by Calciomercato. “And staying in an environment that I know well, in a year of the European Championships, seemed to me the best option.

Future? We’ll see later, but I’m very happy with my situation at Juventus and in France, so that’s the most important thing.
