Agent Antonelli on Udogie: “He Belongs to Mancini’s Azzurri Squad”

Italy U21 starlet Destiny Udogie joined Udinese back on loan last season from Tottenham Hotspur after signing a permanent contract in the English capital. Stefano Antonelli, the left-back’s agent, believes it will be a tight race for the Hellas Verona youth product, who is on the radars of several top clubs, including Napoli.

Speaking to the microphones of Radio CRC (via TuttoNapoli), the Antonelli dished on the prospect of the wingback moving to Naples, with the Scudetto winners already expressing their interest in his services.

“Future at Napoli for Udogie? He went to Tottenham which has changed management and has already committed itself to Udogie. He would be a player for Naples, as he would be for Roma or Inter for example. Everyone takes it for granted that he will go to the senior national team after the European Championship. Today I think he belongs there, but Mancini will decide that.”

Udogie impressed former Spurs coach Antonio Conte with his skills at Udinese, and earned himself a transfer to North London. He is now set to star under new coach Ange Postecoglou next term, given the club manages to secure him this transfer market.

His contract at Spurs lasts until the summer of 2027.
