Agent Dismisses Napoli Transfer for Verona Captain Faraoni

Once viewed as Giovanni Di Lorenzo’s deputy and future replacement, Napoli will have to make do without Davide Faraoni as their transfer target going forward. Claims of a potential move to the Partenopei have been refuted by the Gialloblù captain’s agent, who has backed the Lazio youth product to finish his career at Hellas Verona.

Mario Giuffredi, who also represents the likes of Fabiano Parisi and Nicolo Casale, has shrugged off reports of negotiations being conducted between the two clubs for Faraoni while speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli (via Tuttomercatoweb).

“There has never been a negotiation, I’ve never spoken with Napoli. He’s fine in Verona, he’s the captain, he’s fine there and wants finish his career in Verona. Until now I have never been asked, I think they will go to another player.”

However, as per reports, Napoli’s potential assault for Faraoni will depend on whether Rudi Garcia approves a renewed loan deal for 22-year-old fullback Alessandro Zanoli, who spent last season at Sampdoria.

Hellas Verona coach Marco Baroni has also counted on Faraoni to continue on the right flank despite claims of an existing agreement with Napoli.
