Agent Assures Fiorentina Future for Morocco Ace Amrabat

Morocco’s journey to the 2022 World Cup semi-finals has been one for the ages. The Atlas Lions shocked the world by beating Iberian giants Spain and Portugal, and now await their next stern test against reigning world champions France. And one significant factor has been their strength in midfield, led by none other than Fiorentina ace Sofyan Amrabat.

Amrabat’s fantastic performances have been drawing attention from some of the world’s top clubs, but according to his agent, he is going nowhere. Alberto Maria Fontana, the Moroccan defensive midfielder’s agent spoke to Sports Radio (via Tuttomercatoweb) regarding his player’s future.

“Besides being incredible in the breaking phase, he has also improved his dribbling skills. Last season he played little because of Torreira’s shadow, but now Florence is finally enjoying his qualities.”

Several top European giants have been keeping close tabs on Amrabat, including Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain. However, Fontana says his client respects the contract he has at Fiorentina.

“Fiorentina is a respectable club, calls from other clubs are nice, but we have a lot of respect for this club. Amrabat is linked to Fiorentina by a long contract with the option to renew him for another season. The calls will come, but we are on excellent terms with the management.”

Amrabat has proved instrumental in Morocco’s run this World Cup, helping his national team make history by becoming the first-ever African team to reach the semi-finals.
