Mario Giuffredi was embroiled in a few negotiations with Napoli this summer as he represents Mario Rui, Marco Davide Faraoni, and Giovanni Di Lorenzo. The Portuguese fullback eventually got an extension after some delays generated tension between the parties. The agent spoke to Radio Kiss Kiss.
“There’s never anything easy with Aurelio De Laurentiis. You need to work on it and be very patient. However, he always gets things done by his own timetables. You have to approach him in the correct way, or you won’t obtain anything. He spends the summer retreat with the team and conducts his business from there. There’s nothing unusual with that, and it allows agents to operate better. For instance, talking directly with Claudio Lotito is very difficult.”
Giuffredi stated that Faraoni was on the verge of joining, reversing his previous statements.
“He was close to Napoli because the chairman directly asked for him. He would have replaced Alessandro Zanoli, but the latter stayed put, so he’ll continue with Verona serenely.”
Giuffredi wishes Di Lorenzo received the Azzurri‘s captain armband, as Leonardo Bonucci and other veterans aren’t part of the squad for the upcoming Euro qualifiers.
“He and Luciano Spalletti have always had a great rapport of human and professional esteem. It’s up to the coach to decide. It would be a source of pride for me too. We are living the wait with tranquility.”
