Agent of Napoli Star on Expiring Deal Recently Took a Meeting with Inter

Vincenzo Pisacane, the representative of Lorenzo Insigne, visited the Inter HQ in the last couple of days. The agent also attended the match versus Sheriff Tiraspol at San Siro. He has other pending matters with the Nerazzurri. However, the name of the Napoli ace inevitably came up in the talks, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports. The player would not rule out such destination.

Pisacane has Danilo D’Ambrosio among his clients too, Tuttosport reports. The defender is on an expiring contract as well. He has seen very little playing time so far, featuring in only 40 minutes. He drew some outside interest in the past spring, but Inter picked up their option to prolong his contract.

As for Insigne, Inter are monitoring the situation. However, there is no ongoing negotiation at the moment. The attacker could technically sign a pre-contract with a new team in January, six months before the end of his deal. But it is highly unlikely to happen given his bond with the Partenopei, despite the disagreements with president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Inter pursued the Italian international in the summer before going all-in on Joaquin Correa. They thought the price tag was too high given his contractual situation. The Nerazzurri could seize the opportunity if he really departed on a free transfer. However, they are not completely certain where he would fit in a 3-5-2. Moreover, they invested a lot in the role in the summer. On top of that, the €6M wages, plus a rich signing bonus, reportedly requested by Insigne are too lofty for them too, FCInterNews reports.
