Agent of Roma Reject Teases Return, Dismisses Inter Chatter

Gonzalo Villar is not exactly thriving at Getafe, but his agent believes he could recapture a big role at Roma, while he silenced the buzz about Inter. He has played just 29 minutes across three matches since returning to La Liga on loan.

His representative Alejandro Camano talked to SerieAnews.com: “He is in the midst of an important stretch for his career. He is young and talented. The Spanish fans are starting to take notice of his enormous quality. It is just a matter of time to see him back at his previous club as a regular starter.”

“José Mourinho joined last summer, and I accept the fact that he did not like Gonzalo right away. He preferred to send him elsewhere in order for him to grow. I do not think that rules out the fact that he could change his opinion down the line. Maybe he will resume being an important player with the Giallorossi. He is happy to be under contract with them.”

Villar barely featured after Roma lost 1-6 to Bodo/Glimt and was linked to a move to Inter to serve as Marcelo Brozovic’s backup in January. Camano weighed in: “It is always an honor to see ties of that caliber. However, I do not know anything about the Nerazzurri’s interest, and we have never spoken with them. The only sure thing is that he will be back in the Italian Capital in the summer, as expected.” He joined Getafe on a straight loan with no option to buy.
