Agent Pastorello Addresses Lukaku, Conte and Arthur

Federico Pastorello previewed the upcoming transfer market window by discussing some of his clients, starting with Romelu Lukaku: “Considering the dimension of the transfer, nobody could have imagined this situation. I do not discuss the technical choices, but there is clearly a problem. We need to evaluate very carefully. He is focusing on the remaining fixtures, and then we will see.”

The agent shot down the rumors about a transfer to Inter or Milan, at least for now, in an interview with Repubblica: “Much ado about nothing. He loves the Nerazzurri and their fans. But we can not imagine any negotiation at this stage. Chelsea just finalized their ownership change, and we do not know who to talk to yet. We have to wait.”

Pastorello hinted that Arthur would leave Juventus: “We were close to Arsenal in January. He is too important to be a fringe player, and he has to think about Brazil. He was signed for a different type of football. Maurizio Sarri would have used him like Jorginho. Instead, Massimiliano Allegri prefers physical players. They esteem each other, but it is a tactical matter. Nobody has any interest in continuing like this. Instead, I have not had any inkling about Federico Bernardeschi being let go. There might be some posturing, but the extension talks are ongoing. His priority is to stay. Clearly, there would be some alternatives, but he sees himself only in a top club.”

The representative also weighed in on Antonio Conte: “He is obsessed with winning, which makes him one of the most successful coaches around. He can change the mentality of a team. Any director would want him, even though he seems difficult to manage. He is satisfied with the squad, which follows him. I think there are 60-70 percent chances he stays.”
