Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s agent Mateja Kezman has said that talks were held with Juventus regarding a transfer for the player.
The 26-year-old has been linked to a move to Turin for some time. Kezman said that talks were held with Juve regarding a transfer before and said that Milinkovic-Savic could soon make a move to a big club.
As quoted by Football Italia, the former Chelsea striker said: “The truth is, there have been few serious talks with the Bianconeri. In the end, nothing happened and no agreement was found. With all due respect to Lazio, Sergej is a player for a great club in the future.
“I’m sure soon it will be time for a new adventure and new dreams. Juve, in my opinion, is still a great club and I think it’s an honour for anyone to play for that club. Let’s see what will happen in the future. God will show him what’s his way.”
Milinkovic-Savic has established himself as one of the best midfielders in Europe thanks to his impressive performances for Lazio. This season, the Serb has amassed three goals and four assists in 16 appearances across all competitions so far.
The 26-year-old has a number of good years ahead of him and many top clubs would like to add him to their squads. Milinkovic-Savic has attracted attention from a number of big teams in Europe and it may not be too long before he joins one of them.
