Al-Alhi Pushing to Convince Osimhen to Accept Move

Victor Osimhen and his agent Roberto Calenda shrugged off the interest coming from Ah-Ahli in recent days, but that hasn’t dissuaded the Middle Eastern franchise. They have significantly raised their offer. If he accepts, they’ll then discuss the terms with Napoli, Gianluca Di Marzio informs.

The Saudi side has dangled €30M annually for the striker, who’s starting to think about it. Their sporting director has flown to Italy for direct talks with his representative and the Azzurri.

Ah-Ahli are willing to discuss inserting a release clause in the Osimhen contract. Its amount will be a key aspect of the negotiation. Chelsea are still in the race but aren’t close to an agreement neither with the center-forward nor with Napoli.

According to Fabrizio Romano (via SOSFanta), the star’s salary exceeds their standards. They’ll have to be creative to meet their demands. He would like to stay in Europe, but he’ll evaluate the Saudi Pro League if the are no alternatives. PSG aren’t actively pursuing him at this stage.

Per Sportitalia, the release clause could amount to €50M and be valid in two year’s time.

Our Take on Osimhen, Al-Ahli, and Chelsea

Unsurprisingly, money talks, and the Saudis have lots of it. On the other hand, they aren’t thrilled with those who see them as a stepping stone, so we’ll see whether they’ll give in to the request. Moreover, there’s a chance their larger proposal on personal terms will impact the fee for Napoli, which would be a problem. Instead, the Blues need the player to be adamant about continuing in the Old Continent to be successful, but he surely won’t take less than what he’s making in Campania.
