The Bianconeri supporters have long been awaiting their beloved club to announce the arrival of legend Alessandro Del Piero in some capacity or the other. However, his future is set to be away from Turin, with Al-Nassr making moves to appoint their next sporting director.
As per the latest reports from Calciomercato, Del Piero has flown to the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh to sign as Al-Nassr’s next sporting director. The former Juventus captain is all for it as well and is prepared to listen to the club’s proposal.

The 2006 World Cup winner is yet to return back to football since hanging up his boots in 2015, having operated in the media world as a pundit and commentator since then. He is set to join former Roma director Guido Fienga, who was appointed as the club’s CEO.
Del Piero is reportedly tempted to join the Saudi Arabian giants, who have invested in several European stars, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Alex Telles, Marcelo Brozovic, Otavio, Seko Fofana, and Sadio Mané.
The Saudi FA recently announced their intention to launch a bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, thus accelerating their goal to invest in European personalities.
Our Take on Del Piero to Al-Nassr
Del Piero could well treat his potential tenure at Al-Nassr as a stepping stone to his future endeavors. It’s not doubtful of his intention to return to Juventus in the future, perhaps in a managerial role, especially since he is also pursuing his UEFA Pro License.
