Alessandro Nesta Visits Lazio to Study Sarriball

Widely considered to be a master defender and one of the best ever to play in the centre-back position, Azzurri legend Alessandro Nesta has begun discovering his managerial side after stints at Miami FC, Perugia and Frosinone, from where he was recently released in March 2021 after a series of disappointing performances.

He is now in search of new opportunities and that has taken the former Rossoneri and Biancocelesti legend to visit his former training ground where he made his first breakthrough on the Serie A stage during the 1993/94 season.

According to Il Tempo, Lazio’s former captain visited the club’s Formello training ground in Rome in order to study Maurizio Sarri’s training system focusing on the tactical and technical aspects implemented by the former Napoli boss.

The 45-year-old World Cup winner is in search of a new coaching role and is eager to learn new methods of training and football management – having visited Parma and Milan before.
