Alexis Sanchez Discusses His Future Landing Spots

Alexis Sanchez returned to Inter in the recent summer window, signing a one-year contract, but it’s unlikely to be the final stop of his career. The attacker revealed his plans for the future in an interview with Ivan Zamorano on TUDN (via Calciomercato).

“I’d like to play in Mexico one day. I was talking about it with a friend the other day. It’s a place that has my attention because there are clubs with very passionate fan bases. I’d like to go there, but I don’t know when or which team I’d join. I knew a few of them, like Pachuca and America. Diego Valdes spoke highly of the latter.”

Alexis Sanchez didn’t rule out a turn in the MLS.

“I want to experience a new culture and language and perfect my English. I’d like to live in Los Angeles or Miami, but I’m not sure. There’s nothing concrete at the moment. I’m focused on Inter, where I’m doing the best I can.”

Alexis Sanches snubbed a renewal offer from Olympique Marseille to move back to Italy, as team president Pablo Longoria disclosed (via OneFootball).

“We proposed him a new contract in May, but he bought time and tried to speculate on it. Everybody defends his own interests. I can’t judge the strategy of others, and it’d be disrespectful toward a player who had an extraordinary season here. Our bid was superior relative to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s salary, including the signing bonus.”
