Allegri Admits Doubts in Putting Together Lineup for Chelsea Game

Massimiliano Allegri will have to deal with a few absences in tomorrow’s clash with Chelsea: “I am little confused about the formation. Jokes aside, Adrien Rabiot is available while Aaron Ramsey is out. We will need a technically sound game. They are strong on counter and set-pieces. It will be e nice test. Using a three-man defense is an option.”

The coach indicated four starters: “Wojciech Szczesny, Danilo, Manuel Locatelli and Alex Sandro.”

“Rabiot and Federico Bernardeschi have major untapped potential. It is tough to question somebody that makes it to Juventus. The difference in the careers of the players passes through what goes on in their heads, their personal targets, their mentality in practice, their availability towards the rest of the teams, the way they shoot and defend. If somebody gets lost, it is because they are missing something.”

Allegri updated on Arthur: “He has ways to go. We will have two friendlies during the break to help him out conditioning-wise.”

“Rodrigo Bentancur has improved a lot. I do not think he can be the lone playmaker of a team, though. He needs help in that regard, and Locatelli can give it to him. They are in a similar situation, and they can share those duties.”

“Moise Kean simply has to play and score. He knows how to do it. He can get better in other areas. Instead, from Federico Chiesa, I expect the same things he is doing now, but even better. The margin for error is slimmer for him now.”

Allegri revealed a tidbit: “I do have a Champions League bonus in my contract. Everybody must have ambition. We will face the reigning champions tomorrow, and it will be a magnificent night regardless of the result. We have to work towards the best result possible.”
