Allegri Announces Lineup Changes for UCL Game with Malmo

Juventus still have a chance of grabbing the top spot in their Champions League group despite the beating by Chelsea. Coach Massimiliano Allegri revealed part of the starting XI: “Mattia Perin, Daniele Rugani, Alex Sandro, and Adrien Rabiot will start tomorrow. We will have to address Moise Kean due to an ankle injury. Mattia De Sciglio is fit, and I hope to give him some minutes. Dejan Kulusevski underwent sinus surgery and will return next Monday.”

“Arthur is fine, and we will see whether he will play. We have just one winger tomorrow, Federico Bernardeschi, so we might field three central midfielders. Paulo Dybala is fit and does not need to rest. All the defenders are good to go. We have been more ordinate with 4-2-3-1, but that does not mean we will play only with that scheme going forward.”

Allegri was asked whether Kulusevski could be on the move in January: “I do not talk about the transfer market. It is a shame he is out, but he had to go under the knife; otherwise, things would have gotten worse.”

“It is always important to win, as it allows you to practice more serenely. It will probably snow tomorrow, but it is not like they will throw bombs at us. We will have to play seriously or we will risk some injuries.”

Allegri named his leading Champions League contenders: “Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, PSG, and Real Madrid. Juventus are behind in Serie A, and the top four teams are sprinting. We can only try to win as much as possible and hope the others make mistakes. We can advance past the Round of 16, but we will see in March whom we will face. It remains to be seen whether finishing second really makes a difference.”
