Allegri Announces Two Starters and Two Returns for Derby della Mole

Massimiliano Allegri addressed tomorrow’s Derby: “Fans are back at the stadium, and there will be a nice atmosphere. We want to fix our table. Ivan Juric is doing a nice job. He conveyed his principles that generally fit the spirit of Torino. We will have to be patient.”

“I do know yet if Leonardo Bonucci will rest. Wojciech Szczesny and Giorgio Chiellini will start for sure. I will assess the others today; somebody was more tired, but they are young, and there is time to recuperate. I hope to guess the lineup correctly. We have to take advantage of the positive energy and make up for the five points we dropped.”

Allegri dished on Federico Chiesa: “We had some absences against Chelsea, and we saw that he could play as a center-forward. There are different ways to interpret the role. We have to be careful in the evaluations. He did well midweek, but tomorrow’s match will be different. He and Paulo Dybala could potentially play together and already did.”

The coach might recover two pieces: “Arthur practiced fully for the second day in a row. He and Kaio Jorge might be called up and even play if I need them. The former is a good distributor and raises the level of the team.”

Allegri also touched on Alex Sandro: “I have known him for years. It is not like his value goes up and down; some seasons are just different from others. He is a starter for Brazil. I am very happy for the team. They filled me with joy Wednesday. Federico Bernardeschi had a nice display too, and he dished a superb assist. I have always said that his problems were physical and not technical. But he must not settle with what he did against Chelsea.”
