Allegri Announces Two Starters for Spezia-Juventus, Demands Victory

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri returned in front of the journos ahead of the midweek round with Spezia. “There will be some changes tomorrow because some players have logged a lot of minutes. Spezia are courageous, and it is not easy to face them away. We will need to have the right kind of performance from the mental and physical standpoint to allow our technical values to emerge.”

“Alvaro Morata has recovered. Giorgio Chiellini is missing because he is feverish. The others are good to go, and Juventus need to win. We had a good game versus Milan, but we made some technical mistakes in the second half. There were at least eight misplaced passes. We need a positive turnaround, and we have to manage games better.”

The Juventus coach was caught having a fit after the match: “It is normal as I am human too. The subs must be decisive and have the right approach. It is a matter of respect and responsibility. They have to answer the bell. Only what happens on the pitch matters.”

“Rodrigo Bentancur is not struggling, and he is coming off a good performance, like Adrien Rabiot. However, he needs to be less tentative in the box. Up until that corner kick, Milan had bounced off of Juventus. His spat with Wojciech Szczesny was not out of the ordinary. We are not excessively nervous. We do not have a young team, but we lack some experience in some elements.”

“Talking about the seasonal objectives of Juventus does not make a lot of sense now. We have to focus on tomorrow. As things stand, it is a clash between relegation strugglers. We will not change anything tactically, but we will have some new starters like Matthijs De Ligt and Federico Chiesa.”
