Napoli succumbed to a first league defeat this season, falling to a 1-0 defeat at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza to Inter. Despite the loss, Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri is not ruling the Partenopei out of the championship, labeling them ‘clear favorites’ for the Scudetto title.

Speaking ahead of the game against Udinese in his pre-match press conference (via TuttoNapoli), Allegri shed light on what he says was a minor bump for Luciano Spalletti’s men.

“At this moment the prospects in the Scudetto perspective do not change. Napoli remains the clear favorite. They are experiencing an extraordinary time and are still the clear favorites.”

Juventus themselves are in third position, sandwiched between the Milan duo. Allegri has his priorities straight, elevating his rivals are favorites above his side in the league.

“Then there is Inter and Milan. Our goal is to remain in the top four, then we want to play our chances in the Italian Cup and in the Europa League”.

The Bianconeri arrive on the back of a 1-0 win against newly-promoted Cremonese. They will look to maintain the momentum against Udinese, before taking on Napoli on January 13.
