Juventus prepare to take on Inter in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-finals, just a handful of days after the fateful 1-0 defeat to Napoli in Serie A. Massimiliano Allegri thinks his side can edge the Nerazzurri in the ‘beautiful’ Derby d’Italia encounter scheduled at Stadio Meazza.
Speaking to the press in his pre-match interview (via Calciomercato), Allegri discussed a variety of subjects going into the highly-anticipated midweek clash in Milan.
“Inter-Juve is always a beautiful match, and this time in the semi-final second leg of the Italian cup. It must be a beautiful evening of football, of sport. We hope to go to the final, we will do our best,” he said.
Allegri also shed light on Paul Pogba, confirming his potential surprise cameo appearance tomorrow.
“He’s better, tomorrow he’ll be able to play a bit of the game.”
The veteran tactician also spoke of the stadium ban handed to 171 fans inside the Allianz Stadium due to the incidents that took place at the Allianz Stadium at the end of the first leg.
“What happened in the first leg must stay there. Decisions have been made – 171 people in the stadium have been identified and got their orders. I think it’s an example to follow. I’m happy about this. Tomorrow must be a serene, beautiful, competitively strong match and I hope everything goes smoothly.”
