Ancelotti Details Napoli Ousting, Weighs In On Serie A Title Race

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti commented the start of Serie A: “It is very balanced, and I do no see a frontrunner. Few teams are emerging since Juventus are having some troubles. Inter kept the same structure even though they changed the coach and some players. They are a solid team. They played well against us and gave us problems.”

Ancelotti talked to Radio1: Juventus lost some certainties, and they are struggling to find an identity and the right consistency. These things could happen, but I think they will eventually come back. They remain one of the candidates to win.”

The coach detailed what went wrong in Naples: “I felt very comfortable there, but I know how football works. It ended in the correct way because there was some disconnect with the management. They are a competitive side. I do not know if they are really ready to win, but they could be in the running. Luciano Spalletti and Aurelio De Laurentiis are both direct persons. They might argue, but I think they will get along for the most part. I managed to do that with the president, and I was happy to have coached in a town like that.”

Ancelotti also dished on Milan and Roma: “I am pleased that Rossoneri are back to elite levels. Brahim Diaz would not have had minutes in Madrid due to the competition, but he is an important player. It was right for him to return. I hope the Giallorossi could be successful under José Mourinho. I do not know what the future holds for me. I feel great at Real Madrid, and I hope the results will allow me to stay long-term.”
