The Inter shotstopper reportedly came to a verbal disagreement based on tactical plans with coach Rigobert Song. The difference of opinion has warranted the former Ajax keeper to leave the country’s camp at the 2022 World Cup, which means he will leave having just made his World Cup debut.
Andre Onana was chosen to star against Switzerland, a match Cameroon lost 1-0, but he will no longer be at the team’s disposal going forward – most importantly in the next do-or-die match against Brazil.
The Ajax youth product has 34 appearances for Cameroon since making his senior debut in 2016.
