Frank Anguissa has been one the driving forces behind Napoli’s success and spoke openly about taking home the title, which is getting closer each matchday, to BeinSports (via DAZN).
“It would be a failure not to win the Scudetto. I refuse to even think about such possibility. We have to forge ahead, and we’ll give our 100 percent until the end. I don’t want to consider it won’t be ours this year. We’ll do everything in our power to make it so.”
The Partenopei will face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League Tuesday.
“I don’t watch opponents a lot, as I like to live in the moment. They are a great team that plays good football with intensity. I’m not surprised they have gone far in this competition.”
Anguissa hailed the tightness of Napoli’s group and the contribution of coach Luciano Spalletti.
“Nobody takes command or has a big head, and there’s no ego. We are all focused. No gaffer has given me as much he has, on a human level as well.”
The midfielder mused about his Azzurri stay overall.
“After Fulham, I wanted to rediscover the pleasure of playing. Living in this city is incredible. It was like the start of a dream. Everybody wants to spend time in teams like Napoli or Marseille. They make you feel important and trust you. That’s what I have perceived in these two stops.”
Anguissa has featured in almost every game this season, recording 3 goals and 7 assists in 27 appearances across all competitions.
