Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic is the subject of heated transfer interest from Italian big guns Napoli, Juventus and Milan after an impressive first season with the Rossoblù in 2021/22, wherein he racked up 15 goals in 34 appearances.
The former Inter man is a vital player in the Bologna outfit, and it is understood that he sees his future at the club instead of moving away after just one season. The 33-year-old wishes to fulfill his four-year contract until the very end, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Arnautovic has been touted to take the place of the departing Lorenzo Insigne at Napoli and is even being shortlisted for a role as Dusan Vlahovic’s deputy in the Bianconeri frontline. Moreover, Milan view him as a great addition, but his age plays a significant role in each of the aforementioned clubs’ interests.
Nearing the latter stages of his productive career, Arnautovic could very well want a new playing environment, but it has just been one season since he’s been back in Italy, having spent three years in the Chinese Super League with Shanghai Port.
It is no surprise the big teams are eyeing a move for him, given his abundance of experience in the biggest leagues – from the Bundesliga and Eredivisie to Serie A and the Premier League.
