Arsenal Monitoring Talks Between Real Madrid and Milan

Brahim Diaz will be in the middle of an intense negotiation, and not just between Milan and Real Madrid. The Merengues have the final say on his future, which might not necessarily be in the Spanish capital, though.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via Fantacalcio), Arsenal are keen on the trequartista and are keeping tabs on the talks. Mikel Arteta is reportedly a fan of the player. They could lodge a bid if he were for sale. The Gunners enjoyed great success with Martin Odegaard, who had a similar journey.

The latest reports from Spain indicate that Real Madrid intend to bring Diaz back. They can exercise a €27M clause to do so if Milan activate their €22M option. On the other hand, the Rossoneri want to keep him and will try to negotiate a lower fee to make it happen.

The no.10 is looking for certainties and stability. Carlo Ancelotti is a proponent of his return to La Casa Blanca, but it’s not so sure the Italian gaffer will still be in their dugout in the next campaign.

Our Take on Brahim Diaz, Milan, Real Madrid, and Arsenal

The Rossoneri have a shot only if the attacker digs his heels in and voices his desire to stay put, forcing the Spanish side to come to terms with them. It’s probably a long shot since he has the opportunity to play in other elite clubs. In addition, the reigning Serie A champions splurging on Charles De Ketelaere wasn’t exactly a vote of confidence, even though the Belgian prodigy struggled in his first Italian campaign, allowing his teammate to remain a regular.
