Arsenal Prodigy Balogun High on Milan Transfer Wishlist

Milan continue their transfer market search for a young striker to take over reigns as they seek to reduce their dependency on Oliver Giroud. The lack of offensive depth concerns the Milan management, and Arsenal-owned striker Folarin Balogun is eagerly being eyed for a summer move.

According to Calciomercato, the Stade de Reims loanee is high on Milan’s shortlist as he continues to impress with the Ligue 1 outfit. Balogun is bound to return to Arsenal at the end of the season, but the Gunners do not view him as a first-team starter just yet. That might prompt a summer auction, with Milan in line, alongside other top clubs such as fellow rivals Inter, Olympique de Marseille, Monaco, and RB Leipzig in the mix.

Milan will need to shell at least €35M to secure Balogun, who has a contract in North London valid until 2025. The youngster, who’s a product of Arsenal’s youth academy, has netted 18 goals in the French top-flight this campaign and could become the league’s top scorer – presently just one goal behind chart leaders Jonathan David and Kylian Mbappè.

Much of the Rossoneri investment in the transfer market will depend on the revenues they bag this season, with UEFA Champions League qualification being of the utmost importance to the club.
