Artem Dovbyk Hints at Potential Serie A Transfer

Girona striker Artem Dovbyk could continue his career in Serie A after admitting ‘his agent is in talks with Italian clubs.’ In his interview with Spanish media, the Ukraine international opened up the possibility of swapping La Liga for Italy this summer.
“Yes, my agent has spoken with Italian clubs,” Dovbyk said amid talks linking him to several Serie A clubs. Runners-up Milan are said to be exploring the idea of pursuing the 26-year-old if their ongoing attempts to sign Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee fall flat.
However, they seem to be progressing in their negotiations with Zirkzee’s agent. If they pull off a deal for Zirkzee, Milan will probably walk away from Dobvyk. But San Siro is not the only Serie A venue that could become the Ukrainian’s house next season.
Dethroned Serie A champions Napoli are preparing for life after Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian is on the verge of leaving the Diego Maradona Stadium. And his exit would force Aurelio De Laurentiis to open his checkbook to fill the vacancy.
After a stellar season at Girona, Dovbyk is ready to take his career to the next level. With 24 league goals, he became the first non-Barcelona or Real Madrid player to win the top-scorer award in La Liga in 15 years. Serie A could be his destination, but he won’t come cheap.
His contract at Girona expires in 2028. The Spaniards have already slapped a €35m on his head. On top of that, Serie A teams would have to beat Atletico Madrid, who are keeping close tabs on Dovbyk.
