Milan and Napoli have taken an interest in Clement Lenglet, but it’s not so certain he’ll leave Aston Villa even though he hasn’t had a prominent role so far. The center-back has also been touted to possibly be sold outright since Barcelona need cash, but coach Unai Emery has renewed his confidence in him (via Fabrizio Romano).
“I want to keep Lenglet at Villa in the second part of the season. He’s going to play Wednesday. I wish to see him. I’m really excited about how he will help us. We need players for the challenges we are going to face going forward.”
Milan were recently linked to Galatasaray’s Victor Nelsson as a potential alternative to Lenglet. Per Calciomercato, they have been proposed West Ham’s Thilo Kehrer, who could come in handy because of his versatility.
The Rossoneri just lost Tommaso Pobega for multiple months. He had surgery to repair a torn muscle in his thigh. Ismael Bennacer will likely participate in AFCON even though he hasn’t played much this season following a knee injury.
Despite that, they aren’t plotting new additions to their midfield, Tuttomercatoweb relays. The recent events will probably keep Rade Krunic in town despite the interest from Fenerbahce.

He’d be a decent acquisition since he’d be plug and play, but, if Simon Kjaer finally manages to stay healthy and they brought back Matteo Gabbia, they would be in a decent spot anyway.
