At Least 20 Candidates Vying for Napoli Managerial Role

The hunt for a manager at Napoli is getting hotter as the days pass by, with club chief Aurelio De Laurentiis now having at least 20 candidates in his sights to replace Luciano Spalletti. From Luis Enrique and Antonio Conte to Julian Nagelsmann and Vincenzo Italiano, the list just keeps expanding for the Partenopei.

Speaking to Rai Sport (via TuttoNapoli), De Laurentiis spoke about the reports circulating in the media as Napoli prepare to defend their title ahead of the 2023/24 season, and urged patience.

“I understand that the role must be filled, that everyone they has to live, but here you need professionalism and seriousness and the ability to wait. I know you want the party to continue with big titles. In the month of June, there are at least 20 candidates on my table, there is all of Europe.”

The Napoli patron is expected to reflect on the choices he currently has in the month of June, in a bid to hire a tactician before the club’s preseason friendlies begin. Napoli played their final game of the season under Luciano Spalletti yesterday, winning 2-0 against Serie B bound Sampdoria.
