El Bilal Toure joined Atalanta only last summer, yet he could leave Serie A in the coming weeks after drawing inquiries from Stuttgart. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Bundesliga giants have developed a ‘concrete’ interest in La Dea’s most expensive acquisition.
Atalanta forked out a club-record fee of €30 million to price Toure out of Almeria 12 months ago. However, the 22-year-old forward experienced an injury-hit maiden season in Italy. After missing out the entire first half of the 2023/24 campaign, he amassed 17 appearances, racking up three goals and one assist.
Despite his torrid time in Bergamo and an unenviable attacking output, Toure’s potential hasn’t gone unnoticed. With Enzo Millot’s future at Stuttgart in doubt, the Germans have set their sights on the Atalanta youngster. Gian Piero Gasperini’s men are reportedly open to selling their prized asset for the right price.
Toure’s lackluster first season at Atalanta hasn’t derailed the club’s hopes of recouping their investment.
