Teun Koopmeiners will be playing in Bergamo next season. This is according to an exclusive report from Tutto Atalanta. The media outlet has reported that the player already has an agreement with La Dea, with AZ Alkmaar delaying processes.
The Dutch defensive midfielder is a long time target of Atalanta, with a transfer market value of €16.5m, according to transfermarkt. The left footed Dutchman’s contract with AZ Alkmaar expires in 2023 and it is understood that the club would prefer making a buck out of him rather than see him leave for free the season after.
The 23-year-old has been offered to move for a transfer sum of €18m including bonuses. A percentage of future resale has been reported to have made the Dutch club accept the offer.
The contract is expected to last for five seasons.
